China's top economic planner says prices of water, electricity, gasoline and natural gas will continue to rise in the second quarter of this year. But the government will take various measures to ease pressure on people's living cost. The National Development and Reform Commission says overall prices remained stable in the first quarter. It says the second quarter will see a mild increase instead of a significant surge. The report also says food prices will also keep stable, while pork prices are likely to rebound in the quarter. It also predicts the drought in southwestern China will not have too much impact on domestic edible oil prices.
